Research Areas

Xuebin Wang has been pursuing the designed synthesis, novel properties, and practical applications of low-dimensional functional materials. (i) Syntheses and applications of 3D-designed graphene/doped-graphene bulk materials for supercapacitors, Li/Na/K ion batteries, and electrocatalysis including HER, OER, ORR etc. (ii) Syntheses and applications of boron nitride-related materials for the thermal catalysis such as propane dehydrogenation and the thermal conductive polymeric composites. (iii) Exploration of reactivity-descriptor theory and structure-performance relationship for guiding the designed preparation of materials.

Xuebin Wang has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers, e.g.Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., with citations more than 7000 times. He has registered more than 10 patents in China and Japan. He has been invited to give more than 30 reports (Pacifichem 2020, 31th Annual Conference of Chinese Chemical Society etc). He is the committee member of Chinese Society for Composite Materials (CSCM) and Jiangsu Materials Research Society (JSMRS), and he is the young editorial board member in Advanced Fiber Materials, Materials Today Energy, and Frontiers in Materials.
