Controlled synthesis and assembly of nanomaterials; quantum dot optoelectronic materials; the applications of nanostructures in energy conversion and storage

Profile:

Lu Zhenda obtained his doctorate in physical chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, in 2012. He was at Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering from 2012 to 2015, engaged in post-doctoral research on the controlled synthesis and assembly of nanomaterials and the development of new high energy lithium battery materials.

So far, he has published over 50 papers (which have been cited for 2,400 times) on such academic journals as Nature Nanotechnology, Chemical Society Reviews, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Journal of the American Chemical Society and Nano Letters, and he is the first author of 16 of these papers. He has also applied four US patents and has been a reviewer for several international academic journals. He was selected into the sixth group of China’s “Global Talents” in 2015 and is now working at Nanjing University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering.


Graduate students advisement:

Lu accepts one or two new doctoral students and two or three master’s students each year. His team welcomes post-doc researchers, full-time researchers and visiting scholars.
